Hyundai Feb. '06 Sales Up 23.2 Pct Y-o-Y To Reach 204,100 Units |

• Domestic sales up 32.9 pct • Overseas sales up 20.7 pct
| <Seoul, Korea> Hyundai Motor Co. maintained its growth momentum in February as a total of 204,110 units were sold at home and abroad, equivalent to a 23.2 improvement over the same period last year. |

| Domestic Passenger Cars, Minivans & SUVs |
| The Sonata reclaimed its crown as Korea's best selling car in the month of February, accounting for nearly a third of Hyundai's Korean passenger car sales for the month as 8,572 units of the mid-sized family sedan were sold.
Total domestic passenger car sales reached 24,685 units, with the Grandeur /Azera and Elantra claiming second and third sales spots. Sales of sports utility vehicles were brisk thanks to the newly launched Santa Fe. A total of 7,507 SUVs and minivans were sold in February, up 5.2 percent over Feb. '05. Total passenger car, SUV and minivan sales touched 32,192 units, up 34.1 percent over the comparable 2005 period.

| Korean sales of commercial vehicles were up 30.2 percent y-o-y to 13,294 units. Bus sales rose 30.6 percent to 4,640 units and was matched by equally strong truck sales which were up 29.9 percent y-o-y to 8,654 units.

| Overseas Sales |
| Export shipments from Hyundai's three Korean plants reached 99,403 units in February, 5.0 percent higher than Feb. '05 while output at overseas units in USA, Turkey, India and China continued to gather momentum. Hyundai's four overseas manufacturing subsidiaries turned out 59,221 units in February, up 60.9 percent y-o-y. Total overseas sales (including CKD shipments), reached 158,624 units, up 20.7 percent y-o-y. |
